Types of Acceptable Manuscripts

 

1.Original Research Articles:Original Intellectual Contribution.

Full-length empirical, experimental, or theoretical papers presenting novel findings, comprehensive methodology, and actionable conclusions (typically 6,000–9,000 words).

2.Systematic Review Papers:Critical State-of-the-Art Analysis.

Comprehensive, critical evaluations of existing literature, meta-analyses, and theoretical synthesis identifying research gaps and future directions (typically 7,000–10,000 words).

3.Case Studies & Policy Briefs:Practical Application & Method.

In-depth analysis of specific real-world implementations, institutional policies, or field-specific interventions with broad applicability (typically 4,000–6,000 words).

4.Book Reviews & Critical Discussions:Scholarly Commentary.

Concise reviews of recently published academic books or formal responses to recently published articles in Al-Bahath (typically 1,500–3,000 words).

 

Out-of-Scope Criteria (Desk Rejection Policy)

To preserve journal standards, manuscripts exhibiting any of the following characteristics will be desk-rejected prior to peer review:

  1. Lack of Novelty: Submissions that duplicate established literature without providing fresh theoretical insight, updated empirical data, or novel methodologies.

  2. Geographic Narrowness: Studies focused on purely local data without framing the findings within a broader international or comparative context.

  3. Methodological Incompleteness: Papers lacking raw data justification, clear sampling techniques, or validated analytical instruments.

  4. Formatting Non-Compliance: Submissions failing to conform to Al-Bahath style guidelines, citation standards, or ethical disclosure requirements.
